They stood in the street and looked at the BANK OF America. Hundreds of people went in and out of it. “Wow,” said Clyde, “this is the bank for us.”
They started to make plans. They studied the city and then they went shopping! Clyde bought new machine guns and bullets. Bonnie bought big sacks to put the money in. They also stole a big black car. “After the robbery, we must leave the city very quickly,” said Clyde. “There are two doors at the front of the bank, and one at the back,” said Clyde. “I will go in the door on the left. There are four cashiers. The safe is near the back door. The cashier on the left has got the key to the safe. You cover the three cashiers and I will make the fourth cashier open the safe. There is a guard near the back door.”
“When shall we do the robbery, Clyde?”
“Tomorrow morning, when the bank opens.”
