Bonnie and Clyde

The police sirens woke everybody in the small town in Tennessee. The people came out of their house to see them. A white Ford car raced down the road. Five, six, seven police cars followed it. A woman put her head out of the Ford window and fired a gun.
The bullet hit the police car. It zig-zagged across the road and crashed into as tree. The sheriff got out of the car. He was furious. “What’s wrong?” Mrs Brown asked. “They robbed the bank”, the sheriff answered. “Who?” asked Mr Taylor. “Bonnie and Clyde, of course. At two o’clock in the afternoon there aren’t many people in the town. Everybody goes to sleep after lunch in the summer. They simply walked into the bank and asked the cashier for the money!”
Did they take all the money sheriff?” asked Jack Taylor worriedly. “Every cent,” answered the sheriff. “They also took my car! They left their old car in front of the bank.”
