“I don’t know where else I can look,” thought Frankenstein. “I’ll go home and rest for a while and then I’ll start searching again.”
He opened the door. The creature was there. It sat in the middle of the floor playing with a cat!
“Oh. There you are,” said Frankenstein. “Why did you run away? Where did you go?”
The creature looked at him. “I was in the woods. I was very frightened. I saw a little girl but when she saw me she ran away. I saw several people but when they saw me they screamed and ran. I found a hut in the woods. I slept there. I ate fruit I found in the gardens. I was hungry. I was lonely, but now I have a friend.” The creature pointed at the cat.
